Batch capture of HDV to ProRes

I assume you mean that you recaptured using your Panasonic deck and 422 control, not firewire. When I try to recapture a ProRes clip using firewire, I get an error message saying that I need a controllable device. The Log and Capture window won’t appear with the Firewire HDV to ProRes setting.

If i have the Kona card and stuff can I do batch/recaptures from tape if I needed to?

or once I’ve captured in prores is that my new master?

David, how do you go about recapturing HDV ProRes via FireWire with help of EDL? How does EDL fit into this process?
