  • Batch Capture– no inpoint– didn’t capture anything

After reviewing previous posts, there is an issue that I am having with batch capture.

    Scenes have been logged.
once logged, Go Into batch capture (DV firewire).

1st pass– some scenes are captured— others are not.

Scenes that are not, we try doing another batch capture, it rolls back and goes through the entire clip- or stops right away- in either case a message like “No inpoint” or “nothing captured” is in the batch capture data log.

    any suggestions?

We found that it was a sony dvcam deck issue. I don’t know if it’s a settings thing or a equipment failure.

Does the first clip start at 0;0;0 – then there is no time code for preroll. I always skip the first few seconds or so to avoid this. If there is really good stuff in the first second, the only way to get it is to capture “manually” problem.
