    Hi,

I’m a real beginner to AE and I’m trying to animate some jpg screen grabs across the screen in a 1920×1080 project. When I put the jpgs on the timeline in FCP and scale them up the text in them remains perfectly legible. But when I bring them into after effects and scale them up even a little bit, they become horrible pixellated and utterly illegible.

My guess is that I’m missing a simple scaling/resolution setting somewhere, and that’s the direction I’m looking in, but in the meantime I thought I’d post my question here in case I’m looking in the wrong place.

    Thanks in advance,
    Chris

I am a fool. I had the preview quality set to 50%.
