Basic 3d stops render
Hi chaps – I thought I’d try out basic 3d in my new CS5.5 AE but whilst the effect works when I try and ram preview the preview stops when it hits the layer that has the basic 3d effect applied … is this a 64 bit ‘thing’ (is AE 5.5 automatically 64 bit) ? Thanks for your time. Roger

Why would you want to use basic 3d when you can make the layer 3d and manipulate that in 3d space? Just curious…

Hi Ted … well I was browsing the ‘effects’ in the new 5.5 and was surprised to see the old favourite ‘Basic 3d’ which has served me well over the years for a down-n-dirty bit of perspective and thought I’d give it a go for old time’s sake ! … Roger
