September 6, 2019 at 7:55 pmThank you for the info, Jari. This is great news for all the people I know who use FCP X for editing and who prefer Baselight over Resolve because of its realtime operation. See you at IBC!

September 7, 2019 at 12:09 pmI must admit I am surprised it has taken any company so long to embrace fcpxml. I know it has gone through some iterations but Resolve seems to have been able to keep up. 8 years is a long time to work out that flavor of xml.

September 7, 2019 at 7:15 pmSome might say Resolve doesn’t have it fully worked out. They put the interchange capability in there but haven’t made it any better for quite some time. For a while, it was just plain wrong and making incorrect fcpxml.
Baselight got hosed in the fcpx transition. They had just finished their really cool fcp7 rendering plugin when the EOL was announced. Maybe it took them a while to recover from that emotionally. ☺
Glad to see they have moved forward, and I hope the fcpxml capability will make my finishing life a little less messy!

September 9, 2019 at 12:13 pmNow all they need is a ProRes RAW license like Scratch to top it off. ????
