  • Bargraph with element rising over 1000% and off the charts?

Posted by Kent Rich on May 2, 2005 at 6:03 pm

I’m trying to create a 3d bar graph with one of the elements rising off the chart to over 1000%. Could anyone please tell me the best method to accomplish this?

    Sincere thanks

should the bars actually be 3d or are they flat layers in a 3d environment ?

look into “Profound Effects Useful Assistants” to combine multiple flat layers into a box.

I would use solid-layers in 3D and parent them to a 3D null-layer, then animate the scale of the null in one direction.

    how about this-
you have your chart build with all the regular bars (80%, 20%, etc.). Then build on your 100% bar, add a number to the top of it that keeps growing up 10% – 50% – 80% and so on. Then make the bar chart fall away below and in the background make it look like things are speeding by. Make the numbers grow 100% – 500% 1000%.

I’ve got some pre-made expression driven setups, but I’m not giving them away for free. If’ you’re interested and can afford donating a few bucks on PayPal, just drop me a line.
