  • Banding issues and a spot on the sensor of my AF100?

Hey guys, posted a few weeks ago about my “new” AF100 and now I am posting again.
Take a look at this screenshot:
    https://zeechproductions.com/images/test-02.jpg (original)
    https://zeechproductions.com/images/test.jpg (desaturated and blacks boosted)
    Two things driving me nuts:
Number 01: Notice the big spot on the image? Not my lens(es) as this shows up with every lens I have shot with. Could this be something on the sensor? If so do I need to send the camera to Panasonic to have it serviced? I bought the camera used, and the previous owner won’t return my emails or calls.

Number 02: If you look at the second screenshot, as soon as I start to grade with Color Corrector 3 way in FCP I get banding. Anyway to minimize this? Never did I get this type of banding in all my years shooting with my HVX.

I have a lot to learn with this camera that is for sure.
    thanks in advance

Have a look at the ND filter. Might have a finger print on it. If it does clean it the same way you would clean a sensor.

If you push the codec to far you will get banding especially in the blue channel. AVCHD is only so good.
