  Ballpark ideas on how to create similar effects?

  Hi there,

  New to the community and somewhat new to video editing though have dabbled in it on and off for the past 4 years but still relatively green. I help a youth sports organization and I came across a video that I’d love to try and reproduce but not 100% sure of how to tackle.

  Starting at 13 seconds you see video playing in the background with some sort of textured overlay on top of it so that only a small area of the video is shown. This is what I am trying to emulate and wondering if anyone had any tips to try and go about it.

  Is this more of an after effects solution? I have that as well.
