  • baked object smooth UV map for use in bodypaint

Hi there, so I have an object with a texture that consists of procedural shaders and maps, and I am looking to bake it out so that I can paint over it in bodypaint as I think I can only paint over images in bodypaint, not materials. Anyways this is the model with the raw material applied.
However when I try to bake it out

the texture looks seamless if rendered however in the viewport the UV mapping and seams are extremely rough and low resolution despite my baked texture being 6000×6000 pixels.

If I try and paint over this texture the material I am painting over the UV seams which as you can all see does not look ideal.

Is there a way to smooth out the baked UV map, or somehow paint on a layer on top of the texture that ignores the UV of the object? Thanks and any help is much appreciated!
