    Hi all,

Every now and then AE just totally baffles me with something (I know it’s just my inexperience though).

    Today’s entry:

I’ve been using Vector Paint to paint out wires for a couple of years now. Never had any problem. Love it (as much as you can love painting out wires, anyway)!

Suddenly, today it doesn’t want to paint things out. Just on one clip mind you. The effect just won’t ‘affect’ this clip.

I suspect it has something to do with the fact that this clip has a Time Stretch on it (sped up). Does that sound like a candidate for the problem?

If so, is there a workaround?

I guess I can always just render out this clip as a TIFF sequence and bring it back in to remove the wire – but if anyone has any suggestions for a quicker fix it would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    ALEX

What happens if you paint out the wires first, maybe in a nested comp, and then apply the time stretch to that ….

    Pre-compose the clip.

    Ahhh!

    Thank you.

Why didn’t I think of that? (so many answers to that question)

    Appreciated,

    ALEX
