I’m having glitch problems on two different G5s in my workgroup. I get big stripes across the screen in the Quicktime movies I output (SD or HD, lower field first). I have maximum RAM & AE 6.5.

I am able to avoid problems when I output as a Tiff sequence, but I often need audio as part of the render. The renders go to Avid, and sometimes, FCP.

We worked without problems on our old System 9 workstations, but after getting new Macs (one is on OSX 10.4.7 and one is still 10.3.9) the renders are seldom clean.

This forum has gotten me out of a lot of jams lately. Has anyone heard of this?

I haven’t seen this, so i can,t help with this one – however for audio, you can also just render out a WAV file or an MOV or AVI with just audio, which can be imnported into your avid system as a seperate file – it will be easy to match up becasue it will be the exact length (time) as your image sequence.

Thanks for your response. I’ll stop banging my head against the wall and get back to work making tiffs!
