  bad playback when a finished movie is exported from final cut pro 4.5

  A student recently exported his finished movie project using quicktime conversion with a video compression on high quality and keyed frames every 15 fram and unchecked the box for fast internet streaming but when he made a dvd out of iDVD version 6.0.3 and played the dvd in a dvd player on the computer the dvd looked all pixelated and distorted and looked really bad is their a diffrent way that we should be compressing our video files?
