    Hello there,

Bought a DVX100a recently and my firewire cable just arrived separately.

Now that I’m able to import what I’ve shot the reduction in quality has left tears in my eyes…

Have since experimented with both 24p and 24pA and the 60i/30p (as well as various scene settings) all with same poor result.

I have done a load of forum trawling looking for answers, but they were all in relation to previous FCP’s where it seems you can adjust settings for import – as far as i can tell there isnt an option on FCPX where the import settings can be adjusted… assuming this is the problem…

its not a problem with interlacing – and quicktime exports look just as bad as the FCP preview….

The advice of anyone whose had this problem and fixed it would be fantastic.

    Thankyou,
    Dylan.

It might sound funny and unprofessional but try importing it to iMovie. If it still looks pixilated than your graphics card might be out of date but i am pretty convinced is gonna do the trick. The old Final Cut i ma sure it has settings for DV import. Let me know if it worked out.
