Bad Frame Blending with mixed frame rates – RESOLVED
So I was experiencing really ugly frame blending when I brought 29.97 footage into a 23.976 seq. I was using AMA but I this may apply globally.
I parked on the clip after it was edited into the timeline, entered motion effects, hit promote, and changed the type to interpolated field (you may also need to tweak source/output from interlaced to progressive or visa versa if you’re dealing with interlaced source or destination).
I could then drag the timewarp icon from the motion effect editor into a bin as a present and then drag the icon onto all of the other clips.
This has been a problem that has frustrated me for years, had previously transcoded hours of footage in Adobe Media Encoder to match frame rates. This is much easier. Thought I’d share the solution!
