    Hi,
This is my first post and I promise I tried to figure it out without your help guys but it just doesn’t work.
I use Richard Harrington’s advice regarding the Alpha Channels but the definition of small logos I made with Illustrator and Photoshop look terrible.
I made a small animation where the logo goes from full screen to very small in the upper corner of the screen and there it’s highly pixelated. I have the same issue with pictures when I downsize them on the screen the definition really suffers.
I use Final Cut Express 4 on a Imac
My sequence is 1440×1080 25 ips and I took care to choose the same resolution for the logos in Photoshop.
What other info do you need to help me on this one?
    Thanks in advance
Here is a small link to the video https://vimeo.com/34561754
    Best regards
    Fred

You could try saving it as a png-24 file or photoshop file with transparent background.

Those look like they might have been made in Illustrator. If so, can you use vector files instead of bitmap?

Make sure your originals are large and that the edges of your graphics have a smooth, aliased edge. Some of the graphics look good, some look a little jagged.

    Hi Scott,
I made the logos with illustrator, opened them in photoshop to save them as tiff with an alpha channel. I trie ddiferrent sized logos with no improvement.
At which stage do you smoothen the edges?
