Bad audio over HDMI from IoHD
We have our IoHD hooked up for analog capture of Betacam SP. Normally we shoot P2 and the Io HD act as playback device.
Balanced audio connected to speakers. Output monitor over composite. and then 1080i over HDMI to a 42″ plasma. And the audio is terrible. It’s also somewhat delayed (but I guess that’s because of the processing) but it also distorted.
What could be wrong here? Audio over XLR are excellent.

with driver / os/ FCS / machine versions left out it is really hard to tell
are playing back 8 channels of audio?
using the DVI protocol
did you make sure you ran the iohd updater after the last driver update?gary adcock

Io driver 6.0.1, firmware Sept 15, 08.
OS: 10.5.5, QT: 7.5I have run both firmware updater and the latest driver. No new firmware seems to be avaiable.
Not using DVI protocol, but HDMI. In Io ControlPanel HDMI audio is set to 8 channels. Changed that to 2 channel. Now the sound is perfect. Thank you.
