Ive Been Uploading Tests On Youtube FOREVER And The 360p Version (Where Most People Watch The Videos) Looks Horrible, But I Also Understand It Wont Look As Good As The 1080 Hd Version. Im New To This So Bare With Me. Here Are My Settings. So What Should I Render To? Ive Tried Pretty Much Everything! 🙁

My Project Settings. Which I Got Through Media Match.

Have you tried increasing your quality and then using Handbrake to compress it so it will fit on YT. I found that produces a better picture.

Okay I Just Downloaded Handbrake. Now How Do I Go About Up’ing The Quality In Vegas And Compressing It In Handbrake?

What resolution are you doing your filming in? Do you have a video online I can look at?

It is best to start with the best quality video you can have then once your compressions take place it doesn’t squash it to the point of poor video. When you place your video on YT, they compress it even more so it will run better on their interface.

I may have mislead you with increasing your quality as unless these guys on here know of a way you can’t increase, sorry wasn’t thinking.

Anyway if you are running in a digital or analog format, just do your editing and then when you render, render in the highest quality you can. Once you have the completed render use handbrake and it takes my 11 gig files and compresses them down to a size you can put them online without it changing it too much. There is a little change but not as much as one would think.

Hint in the video portion of Handbrake you can change bitrate to around 1200 to 1500 and it does a fair job online.

    Blessings!

Eric I forgot to tell you this, but I believe that the format for the rawest video quality is a avi extension. I have always used the natural settings on the avi format to render my files and they do well. If your making a dvd it does it a different way, but for Youtube this will work great.

Hey Guys Thanks. I Actually Got It Took Look Decent. But Now This Is The Problem…

I Would Like My Video To Appear Widescreen. My Video Was Shot At 1920x1080HD. But When I Render To An Ucompressed Avi, And Then Compress In Handbrake, It Comes On As Fullscreen. How Do I Make It So I Have The Black Bars, Without Having To Crop It.

It sure sounds to me that you are trying to make the process difficult.

To quote Richard:”What resolution are you doing your filming in? Do you have a video online I [we] can look at?”

Okay, So The Quality Still Is Bad. Heres ALL The Information.

    I Filmed With The Sony Nex-5N, 1920x1080HD, AHVCHD 60i/60p, 60 Frame Interlaced.

This Is A Music Video With LOTS Of Dancing And Motion. The Project Was Made In Sony Vegas 10 Pro. The Project Is 3min & 25Sec.

Here Are The Project Settings Which I Get From Media Match Settings. (Upper Field Seems To Work Better For The Poject. Progressive Seems Too Make Wiggly Lines In The Video Despite Having De-Interlace On.)

Here Are The Rendering Settings. ( I Have Tried Sony AVC, Main Concept Avc, And .Wmv And They All Produce The SAME Results In Youtube).

Here Is A Youtube Test I Uploaded With The Settings Above. The Objective Is To Achive Better Quality At 360p.

I Also Noticed That When The Video Is Embeded, Black Bars Show Up On The Side, However They Dont On The Youtube Video Page. Is There A Way To Fix That? Thanks.
