    Hi guys!

I need to create a background for a commercial. A logo will disappear in front of a background made of photos – similar to the one we saw in Ayato’s 50th tutorial, but I don’t have to create another picture form the originals, just a solid background.)

So how do I create such P.I.P. thing?
Should I place the photos one by one? Use a plugin? Which one?

Or should I post this in the Photoshop forum instead? 🙂

All the best to all of you!

    Laszlo

There are freeware programs out there that will do this in a way for you. Aya does have links to them in his tutorial. They do work based on supplying a picture for it to make a mosaic out of. You could supply it a varied colored background that you create yourself and that way it will create a mosaic based on the colored background in stead of a face. Using colors will just give you a nice spread of pictures.

I was just playing with the automate function in Photoshop under file>Automate>Contactsheet II.

I think this will give you what you need. All you have to do is tell it where the file is that holds all of the photos then determine how many columns and rows you want then it goes ahead and does it. I am using Photoshop 7.0

    Hope this helps
