    backgrnd transparency

    hi,
    I have created a button in photoshop with transparent background. When I save it as a .gif file and try to use it on my web page it still shows the white background.
    Please help me to get rid of the background.

    .png format maintains transparency. Some people prefer to fill the transparent areas with the same color as the site background.
