  • Back up doesn’t seem to be working

    I’m editing a big project.

Went to restore to an older version by right clicking on the project and there were no auto saves showing.

I checked my auto save and it’s set to every ten minutes.

I went to my auto save location (clicked on the browse button in the prefs pane) and it took me to my back up folder (which is pointing to the documents folder)

Problem is I seem to be logged in To resolve as a guest and I’m assuming the reason I don’t have any back ups is permissions related.

How do I log out and log back in to resolve as admin

And how do I make sure that I can access my current project?

DR 16 running on Catalina on 2019 Mac Pro

    Thanks

Autosave / Backups do not work like you expect.

In the Project Manager, right-click on the project. From the popup menu, look for “Project Backups…” near the bottom. This will give you a list of backup files. Click one (or several) and hit “Load”. This will put the backup project into the Project Manager, and you can then open it.

That being said, it seems to be that there are never as many backup files as I’d expect, given the settings in my Preferences.
