    Per,

    Haven’t seen that show, but in Eureka! plugins there a transition called blur across which I think might do.

    That is a Paint Effect we use in an Avid. I use that on a few shows myself.

    yes, blur across is good, in combination with Joe’s Chroma glow. You will need to razor 15 frames of each clip, add teh chroma glow, keyframe it, then add the blur across.

    Ironically, I’m freelancing for a producer who did some episodes of the Bachelor, & he was hoping that I could figure out how to do that on FCP. I think they did it on one of their Avids with some combination of plug ins from Sapphire. Regrettably, he didn’t know which, & I’ve never seen the Bachelor, so I subbed a simpler transition that he’s fond of.

    Try S_Glow (in Sapphire Lighting) over a S_DissolveBlur (in Sapphire Transitions).
