    Hey you guys!

I’m currently in Dubai with some people from work and I’ve been watching a local TV channel promoting TV shows for Ramadan or something and at the very end of every ad they run this logo that is revealed with some particle effect.

I’ve attached the only video i could find on youtube, it’s quite retarded lol so dont bother with it but if u forward to 00:43 u can see the effect i’m talking about.

My question is, does anyone know what this effect is called and how I may be able to create it??

    Try looking at this tutorial.

This is a little closer to what you are looking for.

Thanks so much for the replies I really appreciate it. I think the first tutorial is quite similar but they’re still a bit far off. I was talking about the logo at the end that tends to be “drawn” using particular I think. Again, thank you so much

….what would we have done without Andrew Kramer..

Also look at his “ring” tutorial.

I think using a few write-on effects as a mask and parent the brush positions to the particle emitter should do the trick.

    Hi everyone!

Can this also be done in FCP? (The shine effect across the letters.)

Or does it have to be in After effects?

    Best.

3d stroke with some distortion / echo could do the line effect. A simple emitter from particl illlusion or particular can create the slight particle effect after the lines finish.

    my 2 cents

ohyeah, that’s not a problem. I just realised I might have expressed myself wrong. You would have to use an expression, but in this case it would be a matter of just using the pickwhip. In particular the z position is a separate parameter so it’s all straight forward.

A bit late the reply.. sorry bout that..!
