I am considering buying a Mojo. I use firewire drives for media storage. Can I put the Mojo on the firewire 400 port and my media drive on the firewire 800 port or do I need to purchase a firewire card for the Mojo? Thank you.

Are asking if you need a firewire 800 port for the Mojo? No, my mojo uses firewire 400. You’re plan should work — and yes, keep the Mojo on its own port, as per your plan — certainly never daisychain with a drive or deck, but you know that. I THINK all main box inputs on the G5 are unique firewire buses, but I don’t know for sure.
