Avid Xpress DV PRO Registration ….What a bug..Avid Should look into it & HELP ME?
Hi friends,
I have purchased an Avid Xpress DV PRO 4 package with the dongle and was using it without any trouble.It was an unregistered software ..I checked this out by making an attemt to register it through Avid website but did not complete the registration as I was not sure till how many days Ill use this software and may have to re-sell it unregistered.
A week ago I purchased a Avid Xpress HD upgrade key to upgrade my system and when trying to register and get the upgrade dongle updater file I got the SHOCK of my life when it showed that the SERIAL number I had entered is already registered.I retried…but same results….then I contacted the helpline numeber for ASIA and Europe and left message but they have not replied back.
I again tried to register next day but same results….THEN I FOUND A BUG IN THEIR REGISTRATION SYSTEM…SUPPOSE I HAVE A DONGLE WITH SERIAL NUBER THAT ENDS WITH NUMBER ‘1’ . IF I MAKE IT ‘2’ WITH REST OF SERIAL NUMBER SAME I AM ABLE TO GO AHEAD WITH THE REGISTRATION.WITH THIS PROCESS I CAN REGISTER AS MANY SYSTEMS AS POSSIBLE TILL A NUMBER COMES WHICH IS REGISTERED.YOU CAN THINK WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THE SYSTEM WHO HAVE NOT REGISTERED THEIR SYSTEM.
I THINK SAME THING HAS HAPPENED WITH ME AND I AM UNABLE TO UPGRADE . SO CAN SOMEONE HERE LET ME KNOW THE AVID EMAIL I SHOULD WRITE TO …AND HELP ME.
