Avid Xpress and the F900
A buddy of mine is shooting a project on a sony f900 and wants me to cut it. It’s 24p HD video, but not HDV. Is there a way to input it into and cut it in Avid Xpress Studio? I want to cut and finish on the same system.

You can use Studio to edit the offline, but not the finishing since it does not support HD-SDI capture.
For offline, you can use a JH3 deck with the DV25 down conversion option to edit offline at DV25 with a 23.976 timeline.
