avid xpress 5.5 and gv-d1000 deck
first time poster here
im on a mac 10.4.7 and recenty did the $50 upgrade and ever since then none of the video editing programs on my mac (avid, fcp and imovie)now see my sony deck.They all worked fine prior, i also see that avid doesnt even have the deck as an option to capture anymore…i did a test using my panasonic dvx100b camera as a deck and it worked fine but dont want to use that as an option, hate to think that a $1000+ deck is now obsolete…please helpnobi

I just captured am entire feature using 2.5.3 same base code as 5.5.3) using this deck. I used the Generic NTSC template and had no problems (even capturing 24fps NORMAL and ADVANCED.

that didnt work..ive tried all settings….like i said before NONE of my programs (and computer)recognize the deck since the upgrade..so first thing i need to figure out what to do to get the mac to see the deck like it used to before the upgrade….once again….help!

Hmmm…. don’t know what to do for you there… I am on a PC although this project started out on a MAc with this version using the same deck.
