  AVID Xpress 5.1.3 External drives

  Ok, So i have 3 Seagate 1.5TB externals on my avid system (Specs Below) and all the files are all mixed around so i want to get them on one drive, mainly becasue I’ve heard that will improve AVID’s performance. Two questions:

  1. Is there any truth to that? Is it even worth it for me to do this?

  2. How can i do this, and still have full access to my projects (there are a lot of them)? I would imagine i need to tell AVID that I have changed the location of these files.

  AVID Xpress Pro 5.1.3

  Dell Precision PWS 670
  Intel Xeon CPU 3.20 Ghz
  3.19 GHZ 2.00 GB Ram
  Drive C 232 GB
  Drive D 232 GB
