Struggling with this one. Ive got an Avid project shot on EX3 and the Editor has sent me AAL linked and AAF Embedded. Im trying to use Automatic duck to get it into FCP/Color for grading but I keep getting the White Duck screen

    Any ideas? Wes?

Can the Duck still not import EX3 Source material into FCP? I have the latest Codecs and Im running the latest versions of all software (FCP 7.0.3)

    Audio is working fine

No if it’s an MXF file. Check out MXF4mac.

Well, if you want to use Color, you should tackle things differently. Have the editor export a DNxHD Quicktime file and an EDL. Then convert the DNxHD file to ProRes HQ, and use Color to import the EDL, have it reference the ProRes movie, and it will bring it in all chopped up. Well, if the EDL references all the cuts. Typically they reference only one track…and if there is layering and cuts on other tracks, this might not work.
