Avid Video Settings Issue
I need help with my AVID xpress pro HD. I have just captured some footage and I can’t view it streaming. When I play it in my source window or drop it onto a timeline and play it, the audio plays but no video. I can hold down my frame forward and see the footage frame by frame but I can’t stream it. My video card should be able to support this with no problem. I don’t know if it’s a settings issue or system problem. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

What machine PC/Mac? are you using and more importantly what video card do you have? The video card doesn’t need to fast but it does need to support hardware based video overlay and that generally means using an Nvidia card. Some ATI cards work but many of them don’t.
