Avid Transcoding Failure
Hey there!
So I’m trying to AMA link and then transcode some footage, but every time I get to the transcoding part, Avid stalls for a while and then gives me a message–either “A Serious Error Has Occurred” or “Plug-in unable to provide sample”. I can get some of the smaller clips to go through, but everything else is stalling out. Any ideas on what’s happening?
I’m working with MC7 with a Mac Maverick, and the clips I’m using are ProRes.

And just for giggles, take one of the longer clips, subclip it in half and see if it works. Also try subclipping the entire duration as video only and try that. I’ve seen strange AMA transcode behavior with longer clips and VA…
