I recently finished an editing class. They have Avid at school, but I have Sony Vegas at home. I was thinking I would render out my finished projects, bring them home, tweak them in Sony Vegas, and maybe upload them to the web. If I want to pull them into sony vegas, should I render the Avid project as an avi file? or something else? I have a maxtor portable drive, dvd’s, tapes, etc. What’s the best way to get the project home and tinker with it?
    Thanks,
    Sandra

If you’re just working in standard definition, then yeah just render them out as NTSC DV avi files and you should be able to just drop them into the Vegas timeline.
