Hi, I’m sure this has been covered before, but I can’t find the information I need in any recent posts.

I’m working in a DVCPRO HD 1080i60 sequence in Final Cut. My client gave me footage captured at another house with an Avid system off of an HDCam tape They delivered the clips as Animation 720×486. Before I ask them, I guess I should probably know, what HD format COULD they have delivered it to me as? Is it possible?

    Appreciate the help.

[Patrick Sehn] “They delivered the clips as Animation 720×486. Before I ask them, I guess I should probably know, what HD format COULD they have delivered it to me as? Is it possible? “

You do know that’s a Standard Definition downconverted size, correct?

They can deliver a 1080i Animation codec file that you will be able to work with. You’ll need to render within FCP, but you can use.

I do know it’s a downconvert, which was the reason for my frustration. Obviously, the client didn’t know it was a downconvert and I didn’t want to call him out if it wasn’t possible for me to get something which I could work with in FCP.
