  AVID roundtrip starting with Resolve Lite 9

  Hi, is anyone using this kind of a workflow for H264 material that doesn’t have timecode? Tips? Suggestions?

  RESOLVE (DAILIES) -> AVID -> RESOLVE (GRADE) -> OUTPUT

  H264 files -> Add TC and Reel Name using QtChange (create ALE?)
  Import H264 files with TC added into Media Pool in Resolve
  Output as DNxHD 36

  Import into AVID
  Edit
  Export AAF

  Import AAF into Resolve (new timeline)
  Grade
  Export DNxHD 175X media for further editing in AVID / Reference for Audio Post
  Export DNxHD 444 as master reference backup of grade

  AVID : Additional editing
  PROTOOLS : Audio post
  Import final audio into AVID

  Export AAF from AVID with edit changes
  Import changed AAF into Resolve (new timeline)
  Grade changes / confirm everything carries over, grade any new clips added to the edit : See page 177 of Resolve 9 Manual / Step 5 Reconform Media to EDL, AAF…
  Final Exports from Resolve in delivery format
  RELINK in AVID for any additional audio post, titles, etc.
  Final exports from AVID in delivery format
