So I’m a little befuddled and am hoping I can get a bit of info

When I Export from Media Composer as a MXF xdcam 50Mbit all of my paned Right, left, audio tracks, and my stereo tracks all get exported as Mono Files center panned. Is this just a function of the xdcam codec and wrapper or is there a way that i can preserve the panned nature of my tracks.

What are your audio output settings set to? Last time I exported to Op1A MXF, I was set to Direct Out, and all my audio tracks (1-8) were mapped to the separate audiotracks of the MXF.

    This is ‘normal’ behaviour.
Direct out is not even needed.
Track one ends on track one etc.
So a mixdown is the way to go before the export.
(If indeed you want to retain your normal mix)
