I plan to work on Avid Media comp soft only.
I have to install Nvidia Quadro FX instead of my Matrox Parhelia 128 AGP (not compatible with the media comp overlay). Is anyone have experiences with the Quadro FX 350 ?
I am looking for Quadro for a low-budget workstation.
    Thanks.

Do you mean the 350 or 3500? The 3500 is an approved card and is supported by Avid. I see no mention of a Quadro 350 on the MC systems requirement page:

    https://www.avid.com/products/media-composer/editor/specs.asp

That’s not to say it may not work, just that it would not be supported by Avid if you have problems with it. You might search for any references to the card in the Avid forums:

    https://www.avid.com/exchange/forums/

to see if others have any information for you.

My philosophy is that I want to spend more time editing than configuring and problem solving computer systems. The difference in the money I make working versus the money I save on system components is a no-brainer. Just my opinion.

I could sell you a Quadro Fx 3000. I have one for sell that I took out of my system because I just changed motherboard and processor to the new core 2 duo and had to buy a PCI express FX560.
