MC crashed during an edit, and it wont restart. It was suggested to remove the MCState file from the settings folder – but it still wont start. Can anyone suggest anything to help opening up again. desparate due to fast approaching deadline.

Are you getting an error message when you try to start MC, or it just doesn’t do anything? Did you reboot? What are your system specs, and what were you doing when it crashed?

    Several desperate things to try.

    Yank all the media offline.
    Create a new user (OSX)
    Uninstall and reinstall.

Given what you’ve told us (not enough – please – system type, specs, how far it gets into the boot process), these are the ‘hail’ mary ideas off the top of my head.
