AVID Media Composer Adrenaline HD and Closed Captioning
We are making the step up to HD, and thusly, upgrading out MC Adrenaline systems to DNxHD. Is anyone using their Media Composer systems to perform Closed Captioning, such as applying dat to the Metedata track in the Timeline?
Our current solution in SD is the use of a Sony DNW A45(BetaCam SX) that has an internal harddrive allowing us to copy a show master to the drive, then play back out thru a CC Encoder and back to the machine, therefore, keeping the encoding process SDI.
We will not have this luxury with HD.

Did you find anything out about captioning on the Avid? I need to caption and print to HDCAM. Do you have any idea what files and how I can insert that and sync it on my timeline as I print to tape?
Any ideas?
