avid media composer 2.8 upgrade to new version?
Hi, i have been off for some while now. But, i will be using my compser again. i try to upgrade it and i get an error saying
“System ID is invalid or already under an Upgrade & Support plan. Please specify a different System ID.”
what do i do? it is registered under my name and i didn’t upgrade it…
what can i do? how can i solve this issue? i still have my usb pc dongle by the way… with the sys id & ser. no.

Mind if I ask for a few details? Like did you purchase the upgrade, or just download it…because you said you didn’t upgrade it. From what I can tell, you tried to upgrade the app, but not your registration, but I’m sure I’m reading that wrong.
If you purchased the upgrade, you also need to update the dongle. There’s an updater for that…one that I should REALLY use myself, as I have a dongle. But i’m just one of those people who registers and unregisters…

For issues like this…if you paid Avid for an upgrade, and it isn’t working, call Avid. Thats the only way you are going to resolve a licensing issue.

But, i haven’t upgraded ever since the upgrade to 2.8
