Avid MC6 Apply colour correction to a filler
Hi i’m currently have a shot in my Avid timeline which in which I have a resize effect which changes the position of the shot to slide into the view. The problem I have is that the background of the monitor before the shot slides in is a different black to the black in the shot.
I thought a way of getting past this would be to colour correct a layer below the shot as in a filler, so it would match the same black as the shot which enters the screen.
If this seems a bit confusing
– I have a shot sliding into view
– The blacks in this shot have been crushed
– The blacks in the empty part of the timeline in avid is a different colour
– I want it to be the sameBut when i try to apply a colour correction to the layer I get this message:
‘Only CC effect correction can be applied to a filler’
I have applied colour correction to fillers before so I cannot understand if this is a new feature of MC6?
Is there a workaround or a way to make the empty timeline blacks darker?
