  • AVID MC 8.0 Newbie – Move all audio track A2 contents to A1?

Hi guys, very new to AVID 8.0, but loving the software.

Probably a very simple task… but how do I move an audio track of multiple audio clips to a different audio track?
I’d like to move all clips from A2 to A1. If I select all the clips and then use the red arrow tool to move them, it only moves the clip on which i click?

    Thanks peeps 🙂

You should be able to draw a box around all the clips and lift them all at once.

Another way would be to mark an in and out on the section, Ctrl C the section, and then in your source window drop down call up the clipboard contents. This will load what you just copied to the source window. use that as a source and edit it to the audio track you want.

    Another way…

Put in/out around the whole track. On a Mac press Cmd-X to cut, then target A1 then hit Cmd-V (paste).
On PC, substitue Ctl for Cmd.

Or drag the sequence to the source monitor. Make a new sequence. Patch the tracks as required. A2 to A1 and video if needed and then edit the whole thing across.
