  avid MC 3.0 on mac nvidia gf or with ati radeon hd

  Hi,

  I have software: avid media composer 3.0, (academic version) not installed on a mac because I’m looking now for the right mac to purchase.
  I’m confused about which grafic card I need. When I view the specs on the avid site it says that I need a Nvidia geforce GT 120/ 130 but when I look at the new Imacs I see ATI Radeon HD cards. Does avid work on both cards?
  Does avid work on mac at all?
  I want to work at home on a mac and editing on avid.
