  Avid MC 10.6 w/external FW drives?

  ‘Ello.
  Finally finished my online and went to export a QT with some window burn. But I can’t because the 500 gig internal drive is completely full. I cannot write the QT across the network either.
  What we ended up doing was installing a fire wire card into the Avid and buying a brand new Seagate FW drive (300 gigs). I tried to export the QT agian and after many hours it gives me an “out of drive space” error. But about 230 Gigs were still free on the FW drive.
  Is there a way to make the Fire Wire work or do I have to convince the boss to buy a real deal Avid drive to complete the project.
