AVID M3.5 (or 5) hardware requirements on a laptop
Hi there,
I am about to buy a laptop, but I need it to be able to run AVID MC 3.5 or AVID MC 5.
I found a laptop with the following characteristics:
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit
Graphics card: nVidia GeForce GT460M CUDA – 1536 MB
Processor: Intel
Processor technology: Core i7
Model: 2720QM
Speed: 2.20 GHz
RAM: 8 GB DDR3
Hard Disc: 500 GBWill this system be OK? I am worrying about the card, but there is no way I can get something else right now. Pls. advise!

It doesn’t match Avid’s Specs (at least as far as 5 is concerned.)
Windows Home, processor speed, Video Card are all out of spec.
OS: Windows 7 Professional (64-bit), Windows XP Professional SP3 (32-bit), Windows Vista Business SP2 (64-bit), Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 (64-bit)
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz processor or faster
Memory: 2 GB of RAM (4 GB of RAM recommended; Windows Vista requires 4 GB of RAM)
