Posted by Sio Mc on August 27, 2008 at 9:09 amHi, im trying to import a title sequence that I created in after effects into avid media composer, but I keep getting error message saying: Exception: cannot quick import mixed resolution quicktime. I have tried various output settings but having no luck. Any ideas?

August 27, 2008 at 1:31 pmA couple of things: What version of quicktime do you have installed and what version of Avid? Please include if it’s xpress pro or media composer.
What are the settings that you are using to export in After Effects and what is the setting for your project in Avid?

August 27, 2008 at 10:18 pmHi John
I am using Avid Media Composer 2.8.4 and quicktime 7.2.
I exported from AE using Quicktime with the animation codec. My comp size was dv pal widescreen 720×576, non square pixel, color space RGB and lower field first.Importing to Avid my video res was 1.1 OMF, maintain non square pixel, RGB color and lower field first.
Thanks

August 27, 2008 at 11:38 pmIt looks like you have an older version of quicktime for your version of Media composer. For 2.8.4 Avid recommends that you upgrade to Quicktime v7.3 – here’s a link to the readme for your version of Media composer. The info for quicktime is on page 33 of the readme file – its a pdf.
If that doesn’t work we’ll go from there.

August 29, 2008 at 10:48 amHello
I just installed Avid for Mac and am having trouble batch capturing my footage. The message “Track – 13491 Not Found” comes up with every attempt. I checked my settings and all seems to be in order. What else could it be?
I hope to hear from you soon.
Thank you
