avid fps and expert render.
is 24fps the best i can record in i have seen some one post about 60fps.
if im using a avid software only machine do i use render in and out or will expert render in and out be fine… expert render in and out only seems to render 15 out of 450 effects??? please help

Expert render only renders the minimum it needs while taking advantage of not rendering what it can play back in real time. If you want to render everything, select “render in to out” instead.
As far as frame rate, I don’t understand your question. Frame rate is not really a quality selection unless you are only concerned with motion resolution. Frame rate is more a subjective selection based on content and the look you are trying to convey to the story.

hi there michael i need to take screen grabs from motion shots cheers. i have upped the shutter speed to 1/60 of a second and this has helped. i would like to increase the frames per second so i can get clearer screen grabs from my recorded media. thanks again mate.

Ah – so you are looking at motion resolution – in your case to reduce the motion blur for creating stills. Yes, a faster frame rate or shutter sspeed will reduce the amount of motion in an image – at a 24p frame rate, increased shutter speed will start to look like the fight scenes in Gladiator or the battle scenes in Saving Private Ryan when played back.
