November 29, 2006 at 9:12 pmI believe you’re right–it won’t. I think 1:1 typically requires a RAID, but I could be wrong. We use 4 drive SCSI RAIDs on our machines here (all PC). I’ve never had luck with 1:1 from a firewire drive–2:1, yes, but only very simple projects.

November 30, 2006 at 2:28 amthere is not a product manufactured today that can do anything but DV25 video from a FW400 drive. FW400 is useless for any application, other than DV25 (and with the low cost of FW800 these days, why would you even bother to try).

I digitized trought FW, and i was able to play DV420 with USB 2.0. Just plya, but anything else. SOOOOOOOOOOOO Slow.
For 1:1 here with the adrenaline we use SCSI raid. I thin there is no other way
