Avid Error (assertion failed)
Hey, I’m not an avid user myself but my friend is currently working on a film that has a pretty urgent deadline (gotta be finished today really) and whenever she goes to export it it comes up with two error messages that basically say
assertion failed FALSE file…\…\..\mediacomposer\publishdialogue\src\publishsettingQT.cpp line 293
And then
Exception: FATAL_ERROR msg. Assertion false FALSE…\..\.mediacomposerpublishdialoguepublishsettingsQT.cpp line 293
(Im not sure how to attach photos to this but ill try) and neither of us have any idea what this means or how to fix it (or if it’s even fixable) and tbh neither of us are very good with computers, any help would be really appreciated because we’re getting a bit desperate, thanks!

Was this Media Composer First or Media Composer? Did you do a mixdown first? Do you have access to other compression tools like Apple Compressor, Adobe Media Encoder, Sorenson, etc?

I run into this one a lot so a MIXDOWN is best at this point.
