I have had good luck selcting the high quality 8000kbs constant bit rate/dolby sound default and reducing it to 7000kbs.

Thanks Grinner. Have now made a disc that looks good but Intervideo runs the menu in 4×3 and changes to 19-9 for the video clips.

did you selct 4:3 in your preferencs? You can thn select apply to all clips.

I thought I had selected 16-9 as my preference in avid Sonic program. Llasma and LCD screens set to auto aspect work perfectly. It is only the laptop software DVD players that flip betweeen 4×3 menu and 16-9 flagged video material.
