Yeah I downloaded that but am still only getting video with no audio when I open the QTs.

Weird…can’t seem to figure this one out!

[James Whittington] “when I open the QTs.”

QT 7 or X? Have you tried QT7?

    I’ve tried both 7 and X.

The guy who made the QTs specifically mentioned DNx145 and Meridian. When I look in the the Quicktime folder in my hard drive library I see a bunch of Avid codecs now but not those two. Are these available in a different package?

    Thanks for the help!

What do you see? It says that it includes DNxHD and Meridian.

    AvidAV1xCodec
    AvidAVd1Codec
    AvidAVDJCodec
    AvidAVdnCodec
    AvidAVdvCodec
    AvidAVpkCodec
    AvidAVrpCodec
    AvidAVUICodec

You have them all. If you can see video, then you have the codec.

In QT if you get info on the file, what does it say next to “Format:”?

    Animation, Apple Lossless

The apple lossless surprised me…doesn’t seem like I would need an avid codec for that?

No. Seems like the files you have aren’t the proper format.

    Anything about audio?

I think I may just have to track down the original creator and get some new QTs.

I’ve tried downloading various codecs. Opened them in QT, Final Cut, After Effects, MPEG Streamclip, VLC…nothing reads any audio.
