    Hi

I’m moving over to AVID from FCP and I’m about to take over a project from a previous editor.

The project has almost 300 hours and 3 plus TB of footage. I know in FCP you can use the media manager to copy media specific to just the timeline into a new project…is there an equivalent in MC 6?

Thank you very much for your help!

Yes. You have a couple options. Look in Avid help for which might work best for your situation. Consolidate or Decompose.

Select the timeline you want to use and Right-Click>Consolidate/Transcode or Decompose (instead of right-click, from Clip menu).

If you need more details as to how these two different options work, let us know.
